Writing, teaching, and inspiring others have always been passions of mine, but for them to mean anything to me they have to be coming from the perspective of someone who’s walking the talk.  To me, anything short of that comes across as plain old boring, intellectual headiness.  In writing this, I’m making the assumption there’s at least someone else out there who feels the same way. So I’m figuring up a recipe I’d enjoy “cooking,” taking the time to cook it, & then giving others the chance to sample it vicariously or even try the recipe for themselves.

At this stage, it’s pretty basic:  combine the things I love doing in a way that helps me get past the things that have me stuck and maybe helping someone else in the process.  The premise is that if I’m afraid to do something, I’ll make myself accountable to the level of committing to it here and then documenting the before, during, and after story.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve read lots of great personal development books with lots of great ideas.  I’d walk away from each, barely making an attempt at personal application before rushing to another one for a new “fix.”

Fortunately it’s in my DNA to be more motivated to do something if I think it will help someone else.  I will do the craziest things if I know others are participating in some way (watching, listening, learning).

So I’m officially putting myself in the lab, ready to become the experiment.  What I’m talking about is growth, letting go, and getting free.  I’m looking at the areas of my life that are a little “out of control” and taking the steps to push through the pain of turning those areas around.  My intention is to create my own personal metamorphosis.
